About the event
****Exclusive workshop for Pranayam course participants****
Deeper practices of Pranayam will bring the practitioner in contact with further stages of the 8-limb yoga which are more to do with formal meditation.
According to sage Patanjali who composed the Yoga Sutras, first 5 limbs of the 8-limb yoga are exterior, as in easy to see and cognise. However, the last 3 are interior limbs (‘antaranga’) and unique to the practitioner.
The aim of the workshop is to explore the ‘antaranga’s, namely 'dharana (concentration), dhyana(contemplation), samadhi(absorption)'. Also included is an introduction to the further stage of 'samyama', which is experienced as one establishes themselves in the ‘anataranga’s. This workshop serves a specific purpose i.e. formally introducing and supportively initiating participants to experience advanced stages of meditation, which will begin to unfold as one furthers in their Pranayam practise.
Workshop will cover,
1. preliminaries and side-effects of advanced Pranayam practices
