I am not that flexible

Did you know that Yoga poses, breathing techniques and all teachings of Yoga practices were taught for the sole purpose of preparing one for meditation?
*************************************************************
Kevalam Raja Yogam (translates as 'Only for the purpose of meditation')
The term 'Raja Yoga' is referred in various prominent texts of Yoga including Hatha Yoga Pradipika. Raja Yoga meaning 'king of all Yoga practices' was one of the ways meditation was referred to in those days.
Ironically in today's world (and yesterday's!) the purpose of Yoga has been completely lost. You can say the word Yoga to anyone and immediately an image of someone wearing workout clothes and a mat comes to mind. Most people will react to the word Yoga by saying 'No thank you, I am not that flexible'. Sadly, meditation is not even associated with the word Yoga anymore.

My goal with the meditation school is to see an increase in the number of people who meditate daily. I am currently writing courses for the online school to introduce meditation and provide ongoing support.
Love,
Prabha
