March Mindful Motivation
Recently life lessons from astronaut Ron Garan were shared prolifically on social media (https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1LtzEqDuRa/). Looking down on the Earth from space, we can realise the interconnectedness of all.
In Garan's words, "humanity shares a single, closed system [Earth]. No backups. No escape route. No second home."

Garan urges our collective priorities to consider firstly our planet, secondly our society, then finally our economy because “without a healthy planet, neither society nor economy can exist.”
Garan's reflection is supported by many Eastern Philosophies which view the mind, body, environment and universe as interconnected. That's why for this March as a Mindful Motivation BMS followers are invited to explore our footprint on the planet.
As Earth Hour approaches us later this month (28th March), we encourage you to reflect on our ecological footprint and sustainability. Current global challenges are certainly on most people's mind. While we may feel like we can't do much, before feeling doomed (or stocking up on fuel), let us find the strength and diligence to look after our own environment and our community.
This March, BMS invites you to be aware of your waste. What are you throwing out? Don't judge. Don't ruminate. Just observe, what are you throwing out every day. Before you deposit something in your rubbish bin - Pause, Reflect, and Ask yourself 'is this something I would like to do differently or am I happy to continue'.
